    abstract

Aerospace technology holds significant importance for educational institutions, communities, regions, and nations as a whole. Initially, space technology was developed with the goal of advancing humanity’s exploration of the universe. Today, however, many of these technologies have found practical applications in our daily lives. Recent advancements in technology, component miniaturization, and cost reduction have enabled numerous universities and educational institutions to enter the space age—a field once dominated solely by government initiatives. This article aims to present the advancements of the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) in Peru in the aerospace field. These achievements have been made possible through the commitment of university authorities, professors, and students, along with financial support from various funding sources that facilitate research and innovation in space technology. UNMSM is emerging as a key player in advancing aerospace technology in Peru, contributing to the training of skilled professionals equipped to tackle the challenges of this growing industry.
