A simple system of notations and ratios is proposed for the calculation of step-rockets. Three ratios are used, which are sufficient for basic calculations. All ratios are defined in such a manner that their values are greater than one ; the equations derived from these ratios are simple and symmetrical. Some examples of calculations are given.
