    abstract

Space research has stimulated the development of new methods of celestial mechanics. The examples considered here are related to new kinds of expansions of the perturbative function, analytical investigation of the motion in orbits with large eccentricities and inclinations, elaboration of the methods of von ZeipeTs type, progress in regularization problems, first attempts in the analysis of spin-orbital interaction in the motion of celestial bodies. A very important aspect of modern celestial mechanics lies in performing literal manipulations on computer. The impact of space research has revealed in the most extreme manner the development of relativistic celestial mechanics.
