    abstract

One of the most important aspects of space engineering in recent years and in the near future is its intensive expansion in the spheres of practical application to the needs of various branches of the national economy. The intensification of the applied nature of space research and the experience gained in commercial (economical) application of space techniques permits a fairly optimistic estimation of the economic aspect of the space stage in the scientific and technical revolution. Already preliminary forecasting shows that the use of space techniques in such branches as agriculture and forestry, geology, hydrology, oceanology, geography, meteorology and communication will effect the economy of mankind by several dozens of millions of dollars a year (Fig. 1).
