    abstract

Power units to be installed in future spacecraft which, will penetrate deep into space require powerful data handling and control systems compatible with spaceborne computers. Because of parameter distribution and complexity of spaceborne power sources such systems will handle large data flows and should be highly reliable to withstand arduous conditions of extended autonomous operation. The data handling and control systems of spaceborne power units should Incorporate two levels of controllers; the lower one consists of primary controllers which maintain the operating mode. Once their functions are simplified their reliability is increased by self-control and thermal adaptation.
