abstract

Influence on quantity of the specific impulse of solid propellant rocket motor (SRM) by Water injection into the special mix chamber has been studied for different species of injection heads,injectors and solid propellants. The formula for calculation of two-phase losses which depends on water injection quantity was proposed. It was established that water injection into SRM for space rocket's emergency rescue system may be very effective and lead to weight decrease of such system because of necessary grain weight decrease. The optimum for water quantity has been found.
