Scheme of structure and purposes of the main components of the system of Space Protection of Earth (S. :i) from hazardous asteroids and comets are presented. It is emphasized, that the structure and technical means of SPE mainly are corresponding to means for the Air and Missile Defense Systems developing in frames of the SDI program. Possible options of schemes of structure of HSO space detection service are shown. It is proposing to fulfill a demonstration project "Space Patrol" for workout main components of the operational service for detection and interception of asteroids approaching to Earth, researching its nature by the fly-by and landing of automated space vehicles and for testing of methods and means of affect on the HSO. It is emphasized, that technological basis for such a project actually has been created and the project may be realized in short time and with acceptable expenditures.. Aspects of an international-cooperation in - development of the "Space Patrol" project are discussing.
