    abstract

    The paper contains a description of history of the Russian KHRUNICHEV Space Center, a 80-years anniversary of which was celebrated in 1996. A continuous increasing of advanced developments experience in an aviation technology and production capacities provided a transition to developments in area of space/rocket technology beginning from I960. The first launch vehicle developments are described which permitted to create so worldwide known examples like the PROTON launcher in a short term. A process and results of the KHRUNICHEV’s huge work in an area of manned astronautics - a creation of the TKS ferry spacecraft and orbital stations are examined as well. Advanced developments of the KHR UNICHEVlike the ANGARA heavy launcher, small launch vehicles and satellites and ferry spacecraft and modules on the RGB basis are also described. The paper has an information on prospects for a development of production, test and launch bases of the KHRUNICHEV and its international relationships and cooperation.
