1997 marks the 50th year- since the first rocketpost experiment by Rocket Research Institute members on June 28. 1947. To date, over 76,000 commemorative items have been carried during 46 experimental Ilights. which is a world record for a non-governmental organization. The RRI. Inc., is a non-profit consulting organization staffed by professionally employed individuals who volunteer their services to guide the development of sale and effective youth motivation and educational programs related to the space sciences. The Institute was founded in 1943 and since 1968 is a member of the International Astronautical Federation.
